The story behind AI SEO Company: two brothers, two businesses, one near-disaster on a mountain in Japan, and the AI SEO agency we always wished existed in our space.
Different businesses, same standards.
Back in 2017, Dan founded an SEO company serving clients across the UK. Oliver was scaling a thriving e-commerce business across the UK and Europe.
Both of us watching the same thing happen in our space: most agencies were charging clients for work that didn't move the needle.
Then we climbed Mount Fuji.
The snow was two to three feet deep most of the way up. We made the summit.
Coming down, the snow turned to ice. Daniel slipped and injured his leg — badly enough that he couldn't carry on the descent.
One phone call before both batteries died. After that, no signal, no plan B. Just us at Fuji's 8th Station — 3,400 m, −15°C — sleeping on the mountain for twelve hours, waiting to see if anyone was actually coming.
By the time we got off that mountain, we'd quietly decided: we were going to do everything together from now on.
And that's how this agency started.
We came home, merged the businesses, and ran everything as a team.
The more clients we took on, the more we saw the same con: people offered “300 links a month” that turn out to be toxic spam directories actively damaging their site.
So we built this agency to do the opposite — work that actually compounds, and we treat your business like it's our own.
